Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Kid-Netic Energy located at the University of Manitoba is looking for a dynamic group of post-secondary students to join our team this Fall 2022 & Winter of 2023. With school beginning many students are looking for opportunities to earn with Part Time work positions, so we wanted to reach out ask if you would be able to forward this information to students, especially the first-year students! We are hiring up to 20 students!
WISE Kid-Netic Energy is the largest community outreach program offered by the University of Manitoba. WISE Kid-Netic Energy is a non-profit organization that offers hands- on, curriculum-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) deliverables for youth in Kindergarten through grade 12, reaching over 20,000 students in Manitoba a year!
WISE Kid-Netic Energy is flexible to student’s availability based on the School Schedules. We are looking for students to have at least 3.5 consecutive hours open to work at least once a week between hours 8:30am & 3:30pm ! Our starting wage is $15.00/hr plus you are reimbursed $0.46/km mileage for use of personal vehicle for workshops!
WISE kid-Netic Energy provides instructors with an amazing experience through which they can polish up their presentation skills, increase their independence, see new places in Manitoba, and help youth get excited about STEM!
Qualifications & Requirements:
•Be enrolled as a full time Post-Secondary Student.
•Have a minimum of 3.5 hours open between the hours 8:30am and 3:30pm on a weekday.
•Hold a valid intermediate or full Canadian driver's license.
•Have reliable access to a vehicle.
